Since Lvov, Ukraine did not meet FIDE president Kirsan's demands for the Kamsky-Topalov candidates match Kirsan has again offered the match hosting spot to Sofia, Bulgaria (Topalov's home turf). I got the story first from
Chess Ninja. I don't think Kamsky will have a problem playing in Bulgaria (the money will be too good). He made stage a mild protest to appease his fan base but he and Topalov have pretty much gotten along in person and only seem to argue manager-to-manager. It's just a show to spark interest in my opinion. We'll see how things go. I'm looking more forward to this match than any other and when it finally happens I'll be reporting as much as I can on it. I don't see myself jumping on a plane to Sofia or Lvov but I'll keep a watchful eye on chessblogland.
